Recording of a webinar by the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and ANASOFT on the possibilities and methods of digital automation of warehouse logistics management. Strategies for stocking and picking customer orders are demonstrated in a case study from Dedoles.
The corona crisis has prepared a stress test of logistics processes, especially for the logistics and e-commerce sectors. As a result of emergency measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, brick-and-mortar stores had to close almost all of their operations. This has resulted in the transfer of most shopping behavior to the digital environment.
Online stores and e-shops have not only felt the onslaught of orders on their customer and ordering platforms, but above all on their warehouse and distribution processes. To ensure fast picking cycles, especially for high-turnover goods, to prevent bottlenecks and to increase the efficiency of individual warehouse and supply operations, intelligent algorithms are already being used, which also enable dynamic warehouse and supply management in real time.
The Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with ANASOFT, has prepared a webinar on the possibilities of digital automation of warehouse management and warehouse logistics using intelligent technologies.
Efficient management of warehouse processes and dynamic processing of customer orders is demonstrated in a case study from Dedoles. The seller of original clothing Dedoles is currently one of the fastest growing Central European companies engaged in international online sales.
The combination of technologies for intelligent and dynamic management of picking operations and logistics processes, together with appropriately selected warehousing strategies and picking methods, allows Dedoles to flexibly scale its business activities during international expansion.
Intelligent algorithms are part of new solutions and control systems deployed in warehouse logistics to:
- maintain short picking cycles, especially for high-volume goods
- avoid bottlenecks in picking procedures
- increase the efficiency of individual logistics operations
- ensure flawless preparation, picking, completion and dispatch of customer orders
- maintain even utilization of warehouse personnel and handling equipment
- increase process flexibility during seasonal peaks and strengthen supply resilience by dynamically managing priorities and available resources during emergency and unexpected circumstances
