Cetelem is one of the pioneers in the introduction of technological innovations on the Slovak market.
In 2013, the company was the first to bring the eSign Cetelem service to the market, i.e. the possibility of concluding a consumer loan agreement using electronic means. The eSign service is based on the SIGNATUS technology, which enables the contract to be signed directly on the device on which it is displayed.
A revolution in installment sales
SIGNATUS, in the form of Cetelem's eSign solution, brings to stores a significant change in the way goods are sold in installments. Until now, the customer first selected the goods and then completed all the formalities at a specially designated place, the mobile device enables "the installments to follow him". Thus, it is possible to process and sign a loan application and subsequently a contract at any place in the store.
This modern solution speeds up the conclusion of the contract with the client and also facilitates the entire purchase process. Thanks to the mobile device, the seller is not bound to make the sale in one place. If a merchant wants to process credit contracts through Cetelem "paperless", all he needs is a terminal device that allows a signature to be recorded on the screen with a touch pen. The motivation for traders is the acceleration of cash flow. While in the past the seller had to wait 4 to 5 days for the financing of the goods he sold in installments, thanks to eSign Cetelem, the payment goes to him on the next day.
Securing a digital credit agreement
Cetelem's eSign service is advantageous primarily for the client himself, mainly from the point of view of security and increased overall transparency. After signing with a stylus, the contract is locked, which also secures it against changes. The document is signed with a digital handwritten signature, the authenticity of which can be verified in the same way as a regular signature on paper.
The signed contract goes electronically to the client's e-mail box, but also to the central database of Cetelem. The client can thus return to the contract at any time and review it again through the secure client zone available on the company's website.
Reduction of operational costs for Cetelem – up to 25% of operational costs or more than 1.6 million pages of paper will be saved.
SIGNATUS and financial intermediaries
SIGNATUS enables financial intermediation providers to shorten the process of arranging a consumer loan from hours to minutes. Customers go through a simpler, faster and more understandable process, and sellers have the opportunity to conclude multiple contracts and thus achieve better cash flow.
