State-run eBay Live

2014-11-03

The first transactions have been carried out on the electronic market (also called the state-run eBay) organized by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. The creation of a transparent environment for public procurement is the main goal.

Authorities and state institutions (ministries, state-run business, local governments) can bid at this portal for the purchase of smaller goods and services and construction work. For state procurers, the value range of available goods and services is from 1,000 EUR to 134,000 EUR; for other procurers, the range is from 1,000 EUR to 207,000 EUR. The upper limit for construction work is 5,186,000 EUR. Registered companies can offer their goods, services and construction work.

The Ministry of Interior expects that this project will reduce the procurement process from 3 to 4 months to one week. Another benefit is the simplified administrative procedure. Furthermore, it is an important anti-corruption instrument due to the fact that national and local governmental organizations will be purchasing live and on-line.

The Electronic Market is supplied by a consortium comprised of ANASOFT, Slovak Telekom (ST) and Tlačová agentúra Slovenskej republiky TASR (Slovak Press Agency).

ANASOFT covers the application and all legal matters related to transactions on the Electronic Market, while delivering  and operating  the entire system.

ANASOFT has many years of experience with creating portal solutions. It was a finalist in the 2012 Microsoft Industry Award competition for its work on the Portal of the Ministry of Justice for the Electronization of the Commercial Bulletin(www.justice.gov.sk). The Central Government Portal (www.portal.gov.sk), which serves as the central and common access point for information and services of general government authorities in the Slovak Republic, is another creation from the workshop of ANASOFT.
