The live-showcase and demonstration consists of two alternatives:

• Signature solution for Enterprise customers, with A2iA automatic extraction capabilities of 2-3 lines MRZ (ID cards, Passport). The solution is designed for rapid deployment of paperless on boarding process within any existing IT infrastructure, and at the same time, the solution can work in parallel to the original paper signing process. SIGNATUS eSign application integrates into Customer’s systems via simple file based exchange over HTTPS protocol. The document to be signed is downloaded from Customer’s extranet as a PDF document with all of the required metadata embedded within the PDF. The signed PDF, its metadata, and possible additional attachments (scanned documents in the PDF form) are zipped up and encrypted into one file package in order to prepare one atomic POST transaction per document.
• A configurable standalone Application that allows a quick implementation into the SMB paperless processes. In general, it uses preconfigured standard interfaces for easy browsing and download and upload of documents. It contains out-of-the-box following integration options available from application settings, such as: Browse from web (browse web/intranet with embedded browser and allows to download documents by clicking on PDF URL link), CMIS storage (direct from DMS for documents to be browsed and download/uploaded from), or to use simple REST methods to list documents.

SIGNATUS (solution powered by KOFAX/Softpro technology) enables capture of handwritten signature with biometric features to digitally sign PDF documents according to PAdES standard as published by ETSI in TS 102 778 in accordance with advanced electronic signature as defined by EU Directive 1999/93/EC. The biometric data captured within a signature is adherent to the ISO/IEC 19794-7.

The solution has been developed with financial institutions in Europe to meet very strict security and compliance criteria in order to allow for electronic signing of digital contracts of high value in any face-to-face scenario. SIGNATUS does not require additional PKI infrastructure, signature servers or even any connectivity. Just like pen and paper it is independent of any other external resources and fully utilizes mobile device features including those that are unique to Samsung (S-Pen and KNOX).
