The aim of the project was to implement monitoring and management of the assembly process at the Schnellecke plant. One of the purposes of the project was to monitor and archive production data and improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes. Schnellecke is a leading global logistics company for the automotive industry in the field of warehousing and packaging logistics, module assembly, and Just-In-Time logistics.
Project Assignment:
- Visualization of manufacturing and technology processes to operators on workstations
- Tool management to ensure adherence to correct and approved practices (selection, evidence, pre-assembly, and kitting of parts)
Implementation:
- Implementation of Smart Industry solution EMANS
- Deployment of the internet of things (IoT) and digital twin technology
- Picking management via Pick-to-Light system
- Gesture control (telemanipulation during quality control) – Kinect
- Implementation of EDI communication
- Deployment of RFID technology
- Implementation of Blind Audit system
- Integration of EMANS system to end user´s ERP
