With the President of the Slovak Republic in Korea

2018-05-14

The president of the SLovak Republic Andrej Kiska went on his first official visit as the head of the Slovak Republic in the Republic of Korea, where he met the Korean president Moon Jae-in.

The Republic of Korea is one of the most important non-European economic partners of Slovakia, since more than 50% of the non-European investments (approximately 2.5 billion EUR) come from The Republic of Korea. Slovakia represents the fourth most important exporting market in the European Union for South Korea.

“More than 100 companies created thousands of jobs. It is very important that Slovakia is perceived here as a very successful country - as a country which South Korea can be relying on,” said the Slovak president.

The subject of the development of bilateral relations was education and innovation as key topics of advancement of both countries. “Today, the Republic of Korea belongs among the eleven most developed economies in the world. We discussed how that can be achieved. I think nobody will be surprised that those answers are clear. It´s an investment into education, into young people, and innovation,” says Andrej Kiska.

Since the subject of the visit was technological innovations, the presidential delegation was accompanied by representatives of successful domestic enterprises, including ANASOFT. The director of ANASOFT´s Smart Industry division, Andrea Čekovská, along with other Slovak entrepreneurs, visited the developing centers at Samsung, KIA-Hyundai, and the innovation hub “Pangyo Tech Valley”.

ANASOFT - as a company invested in the research & development of things such as artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, virtual and augmented reality - had a chance to meet similarly oriented South Korean companies and established a relationship with them for potential future collaboration.
