RIADENIE ZÁSOB VÝROBNÝCH POLOTOVAROV – ANDON SYSTÉM

 

The aim of the project was to assure management of inventory in the warehouse of semi-finished products according to the FIFO principle. Simultaneously, it was necessary the highest possible warehouse occupancy in the production facility of Varroc Lighting Systems.

Project Assignment:

  • Quick inventory identification
  • Reduction of time necessary to find items in the warehouse
  • Real-time tracking of material receipt and dispatch

Implementation:

  • Implementation of Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) module of the Smart Industry system EMANS
  • Deployment of in-house internet of things (IoT)
  • Monitoring of inventory levels in real-time utilizing the principle ANDON (a lean manufacturing tool that triggers immediate visual or audible alerts)
  • Identification of precise localization of SKUs in the warehouse
  • Integration of the system EMANS with ERP system

Result:

  • Visualization and inventory management in supermarket
  • Tracking technological life-cycle of stamped pieces (FIFO) from plating to further processing 
  • Error-rate decrease in material deliveries to production lines
  • Access to precise and correct data that accelerate decision-making in real-time
  • Reduction of material handling duration
  • Deployment of a pull system for production planning 
  • Waste reduction in the production
  • Monitoring material inbound and outbound
